About

PKVUM is the acronym for Persaudaraan Kristian Varsiti Universiti Malaya, the fellowship of Christians in the University of Malaya.

September 30th 1950...at the University of Malaya in Singapore, God stirred the hearts of 5 medical students to pray that He would raise truly biblical witness in the varsity. They realized that God was beginning a work in them and this was spread to the other institutions of higher learning around. On August 9th 1952, a group drew a constitution for the VCF (Varsity Christian Fellowship) merely 20 members and 5 committee members. As a result, VCF was 'born'.

This fellowship is defined by the following characteristics:
1. Evangelical
2. Evangelistic
3. Inter-denominational
4. Para-church
5. Student-initiative

The vision of PKVUM is to see men and women living out God's truth and having an impact on life.

PKV's new theme for 2010/2011 is "Making it Count, Faith in Action"
